Sip, Sip Hooray Styled Engagement Session

This styled engagement shoot was so fun to dream up! It was also one of the most challenging design ventures I’ve done, just because I’m used to styling interiors or products on display and not so much posed photography with people. But I surprised myself and in the end I learned a lot about technique and editing.

I wanted to photograph a warm wintery engagement session filled with texture and simple accents. The “Sip Sip Hooray” theme came into focus when discussing a custom hand lettering art piece from the talented Laura Alexander Designs . From there, I established a colour scheme of blush pink, forest green, soft grey and cream.

The look came together with a beautiful backdrop of the couple’s wood burning fireplace and a chunky macrame banner adorned behind them.

Sipping on warm hot chocolate and lots of cuddles makes for the perfect feeling for this styled shoot. What really made a statement and tied into our colour scheme and overall look were these stunning (and seriously delicious) sugar cookies from the talented Tiffany Best

These two were the cutest and made this session a breeze! …. And told you the cookies were delicious 😉

Thank you to all businesses who have taken their time to contribute to this photo session. It was a dream of mine to create and I am so thankful for your help and collaborations.

And to this beautiful couple… congratulations and all the love! xo
